A Passage To India is often hailed as one of the best novels written in the English language. It was published in 1924 and has been adapted many times, most notably into a feature film directed by Sir David Lean.


The story follows Dr. Aziz, a middle-class Indian who seems to have an ambivalent relationship with the British people during the era of the British Raj in India. However, he is one day accused of raping an Englishwoman and this is when this seemingly ambivalent friendship gets severed.
